Whether a student is three years of age or in his or her sixties, our philosophy is the same. The purpose of the CMAA program is to develop and facilitate the student in the belief system that anything is possible to accomplish. Self-esteem, Self-confidence, creative thinking, empowerment, and other life skills are what the student will receive as a result of his or her training at CMAA. Whether you want to see your child focus better or as an adult student to have peace and serenity in your life, our program will assist you in this endeavor. Self-defense at CMAA is more than just learning how to punch and kick. It is about character development and living a healthier life. |
SELF-DEFENSE PROGRAMSThe self-defense system taught at Cervizzi’s Martial Arts is a realistic, powerful, and street worthy program that can be learned by anyone. The system prides itself on using circular movements to subdue the opponent. The size and strength of the student is immaterial as one is trained in using the opponent’s power and weight to his/her own advantage. The student will learn explosive kicking, punching, and blocking combinations as well as beautiful and artistic routines called “Katas”. The self-defense system focuses on using all parts of the body to protect oneself, unlike other art forms that may rely solely on the hands or feet. The student will be taught to avoid conflict rather than confront it. It takes a wiser, more confident individual to walk away from situations. The physical and emotional benefits of training at our facility are numerous. Regardless of age or fitness level this class is for you! |
Tiny Tigers (Ages 4 & 5)The Tiny Tigers Program concentrates on teaching basic self defense skills. The class enhances hand-eye coordination, the ability to focus, and increases self control and self esteem for children at such a young age. Each and every class is a great learning experience and includes stranger danger exercises and how to stay safe. It is a great introduction to the martial arts and includes important methods of staying safe when parents are not around. |
Child Self-Defense (Ages 6 – 9)The Child Self-Defense Program encourages children to begin to stretch and stay healthy on a regular basis. This class focuses on fundamental skills of self-defense and furthers those skills into self-defense techniques and formal exercises. Each child is given individual attention to ensure their physical and mental growth is of the best quality. Further education focuses on the correct behavior and etiquette not only in the dojo – but at home, school, and in the community. |
Teen Self-Defense (Ages 10 – 15)The Teen Self-Defense Program builds self-confidence during a very influential age. This class provides the rapidly growing children a beneficial and healthy workout. Skills for basics, techniques, katas, sparring, and weapons are formed and developed. Further education focuses on how to protect one’s self against bullies in a non physical way and the correct behavior and etiquette not only in the dojo – but at home, school, and in the community. |
Adult Self-Defense (Ages 16 and up)The Adult Self-Defense Program provides a great workout, and keeps adults of all ages healthy and active. The class is a great stress reliever for anybody whose life is busy. Ask any of our adult students and they will tell you that the adult self-defense training is a “way of life”! We put emphasis on the importance of being able to protect one’s self in a real life situation. The techniques that are learned along with the formal exercises provide the most complete self-defense education around. |
ENRICHMENT PROGRAMSIn addition to all of the fantastic self-defense and fitness programs Cervizzi’s Martial Arts offers, we have many programs for other occasions such as cooperate events, women’s self defense seminars, stranger danger demonstrations, and much, much more. All of our programs regardless of type are geared toward providing the best physical and mental workout anywhere. |
Leadership Program (Ages 9 – 14)The initiative and mission of Cervizzi’s Martial Arts Academy (CMAA) is to provide an entire body workout for our students. The mind; a vital element of our body, must be part of everyone’s entire body workout on a daily basis. CMAA is dedicated to developing our student’s skills physically and mentally on many different levels. This program is designed to challenge the mind and educate our students to become the leaders of tomorrow – today, and lead you to the next chapter of your life, as a leader yourself – in this new entire body workout. |
Competition Team (All ages)With the growing need to test skills, drills, techniques, and formal exercise the competition team was recently developed and added to our curriculum. This program strengthens the student’s inherent abilities and allows them to grow further while they experience and meet new people from other walks of life at competition events. High impact, repetitious, and exciting maneuvers make this highly competitive class a must have in any martial artists repertoire. |
FITNESS PROGRAMSThese series of programs are offered to you as the most complete body workout around. The ultimate fitness programs consist of cardiovascular work out and muscle toning for men and women. Weight loss, weight stability, stress relief and a boost of self confidence are great side effects of taking this class, not to mention they are fun and exciting – and the people are great too! |
Cardio Kickboxing (Ages 17 and up)This high-powered, high-energy class, performed to music, is great for those looking to burn calories, tone and shape muscles, and increase cardiovascular health. This class is taught by skilled practitioners so the student will learn the proper execution of basic self-defense techniques. The kickboxing movements are fun and easy to learn and the class will benefit all students regardless of fitness level. If you want a REAL workout, this is the class for you! |
Cardio Boot Camp (Ages 17 and up)This class incorporates state of the art calisthenic work out, a superior muscular workout, and motivational drills which are all choreographed to music. Every class is different so there is no chance of getting bored. Be ready to have fun, release stress, and give yourself that body you have always wanted. |
Kick & Tone (Ages 17 and up)Our Kick & Tone class burns calories and shapes your muscles, without spending hours upon hours in the gym. You will tighten your buns, tone your muscles, work your core, and create a stronger YOU! Another major benefit is increased flexibility, which leads to a more relaxed lifestyle and relief of muscle and joint aches. |
Personal Training (Ages 17 and up)Personal Training is an up and coming way to put you in the best shape of your life, no matter what your age may be. With one of our personal trainers you will have a one-on-one session that will impact and motivate you in several different ways. Our personal trainer will provide you with a fitness evaluation and create personalized work out routines, as well as guide you into a proper nutritional lifestyle. |
